The Young Engineer of the Year Award is organised by The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) in recognition of the local outstanding young engineers who have made valuable contributions to the continuous development of Hong Kong through their engineering achievements. It is a prestigious honour for our young engineers of the local engineering profession.

The Association of Consulting Engineers of Hong Kong (ACEHK) seeks to maintain standards of professional conduct and promote professional interests, rights, powers and privileges of consulting engineers since 1977. We are excited to celebrate our 45th anniversary and we have launched a series of events to commemorate this important milestone.

This webinar will introduce the structure of the CWRS and demonstrate its operation and maintenance as well as the method to manage and submit the DAR through the system.

To celebrate the commissioning of the new Pak Kok Pier, CEDD organises an exhibition on the new pier to share the outcome of the first completed project under Pier Improvement Programme and to introduce the additional ancillary facilities of the new Pier.

The HKIE Grand Award 2023 is a brand-new award scheme of the Institution that aims to recognise the achievements and contributions of the engineering profession towards the development of Hong Kong. Comprising three major categories (Innovation, Industrial, Infrastructure).

Given the uniqueness of the Po Shan Drainage Tunnel and its novel features, the GEO established a “Landslide Sci-Tech Chamber” in the tunnel to convey the importance of slope safety to the public. In the Chamber, there are four galleries covering different themes, which include: Po Shan Memorial Gallery – presents precious historical photos and records about the landslide incident in Po Shan Road to commemorate the pain and reflect the lesson learnt of the disaster; Climate Change Impression Gallery – raises public awareness of the landslide risk in Hong Kong and the importance of sustained effort to ensure slope safety under extreme weather; Landslide Wisdom Gallery – exhibits the landslide history of Hong Kong over the past hundred years and the evolvement of the Hong Kong Slope Safety System; and Drainage Tunnel Expression Gallery – visualizes the innovations of the groundwater regulation system through Augmented Reality (AR) application and demo operation of the sub-vertical drains. The Po Shan Drainage Tunnel - Landslide Sci-Tech Chamber is open to public individuals, schools or organisations for application of guided visits.
