The Construction Industry Event Calendar includes events hosted by our key stakeholders, including the Construction Industry Council, Development Bureau and Works Departments of the HKSARG, the Association of Architectural Practices, Association of Consulting Engineers of Hong Kong, Education Bureau, Hong Kong Construction Association, Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Contractors’ Association, the Hong Kong Federation of Electrical and Mechanical Contractors Limited, the Hong Kong Institute of Architects, the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors.

HKIE Awards - The HKIE Scholarship
The Scholarship will be awarded to three engineering undergraduate students. Each successful candidate will receive a certificate and a total grant of HK$80,000, which will be disbursed to the recipients in four installments (i.e. HK$20,000 per annum) at the end of each academic year.

CEDD - CT60+ Cycling Rewards
To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR and to promote the opened cycle track sections of the New Territories Cycle Track Network (NTCTN), the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) is holding the “CT60+ Cycling Rewards” from 17 September to 17 December 2022. Members of the public may participate in this event by cycling along the cycle track sections between Tuen Mun and Ma On Shan and at the Tsuen Wan waterfront of the NTCTN. They can enjoy the beautiful sceneries and cultural attractions while looking for the “check-in” spots along the cycle track sections and collecting “check-in” records. Those who have collected the required number of “check-in” records can redeem souvenirs. CEDD has also created Augmented Reality (AR) filters featuring mascots from various government departments and advisory body at these “check-in" spots. Members of the public may use their mobile phones to scan the QR codes at the “check-in” spots to take AR photos with the 9 mascots, which include “Mr. B” , “Drainy”, “Big Waster”, “Anyone”, “Keep Clean Ambassador Ah Tak”, “Lazy Lion”,“ Dr Tin”, “Water Save Dave”, and “Mr. Safegg”.

HKIE Awards - HKIE Young Engineers Arthur & Louise May Memorial Scholarship
The HKIE Young Engineers Arthur & Louise May Memorial Scholarship aims to encourage and support young engineers to further their education abroad for the benefit of the engineering profession and the local community at large. The Scholarship also supports those who are planning to attend professional development workshop organised by government departments, reputable public and professional bodies overseas and in Mainland China. It is expected that the awardees will commit themselves to contributing to the engineering industry in Hong Kong after the completion of their studies.
CEDD - U Can Ride - Guided Cycling Eco-tour
As one of the activities to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR, the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) has engaged TWGHs BiciLine Cycling Eco-Tourism Social Enterprise (BiciLine) to organise six guided cycling eco-tours for secondary students from grass-root families from October to December 2022. Apart from promoting the newly completed cycle tracks under the New Territories Cycle Track Network and raising awareness on cycling safety, volunteers from CEDD and Bicycle Ambassadors from BiciLine will introduce the various ecological and cultural heritage attractions as well as engineering and infrastructure projects en route.

WSD - "Excursion with Water Save Dave" Visiting Programme
"Excursion with Water Save Dave" Visiting Programme, to be conducted by way of guided tours, comprises visits to various waterworks facilities under three themes. It aims to introduce the historical background and significance of various waterworks facilities, enhancing public’s knowledge of water resources and raising their awareness of water conservation.

To celebrate the commissioning of the new Pak Kok Pier, CEDD organises an exhibition on the new pier to share the outcome of the first completed project under Pier Improvement Programme and to introduce the additional ancillary facilities of the new Pier.
